Club's Home Page The Beefsteak and Burgundy Club celebrated 50 years in 2004 for which occasion extensive celebrations were held including holding the 2004 Annual Convention in Adelaide. The original Club, known for convenience as 'The Adelaide Beefsteak and Burgundy Club', now has 184 active Branch Clubs, covering every Australian State and Territory and ten countries overseas. Each Club limits its membership to 30. There are all male clubs, all ladies clubs and mixed clubs. The objects of the Club: "To promote good fellowship and goodwill amongst all sections of the community. To further the education of its members and the community in the appreciation and understanding of good food and wines." Most Clubs meet monthly, but some bi-monthly, for either luncheon or dinner. Many Dinner Clubs are formal. At each meeting the Winemaster/Foodmaster will aim to present a menu and wine which complement each other, and will provoke comment and discussion, towards expanding the members' knowledge of these important pleasures of life.
