Web site for Branch Clubs

After fielding a number of enquiries from clubs wishing to have their own website, we have asked the external website provider who has built this website to provide a discounted offer for a “sub-site” of our main website.  This is a very cost effective way to allow any club to have a professionally designed website that you can easily manage yourselves.

A mock site has been delevoped to assist in clubs gaining an appreciation of what a club web site could look like. This mock site is based on the Adelaide Club but includes information from the main site ie an example only.

The future of the B&B Bulletin

It is proposed that the Bulletin be no longer produced. This follows discussions at the Orange and Wellington Convention Business Sessions. Instead, we encourage clubs to submit articles for the News Page and to encourage their members to look at this from time to time.

This change will make informationavailable in a more timelyway for members and reduce the requirement for printing and postage. The Handbook, of course, will continue to be provided each year to members.

The last Bulletin was the Winter 2011 eBulletin on the clubs in China. This was not printed and distributed to clubs. Instead clubs were advised that it was on the web site - see Bulletins.

New Business Tie Available

Following comments from clubs a new B&B business tie is now available. This can be ordered along with other regalia via the order form on this web site. The tie is available in white for members and gold for presidents and past presidents.

Confidentiality of information

The General Secretary is frequently requested for the contact details of clubs by businesses.

The Committee has been instructed by member clubs not to divulge any personal details of individual members or clubs.

Club locations

Thanks to those clubs who have responded.

The location of clubs, where unclear, is being improved. This will assist members locating clubs to visit or to assist with new member enquiries.

The List of Branches on the About B&B/Branches Page is being updated as advice is received. This is particularly useful for the larger cities.

News Items

We are pleased that clubs are sending in items for the News Page.

If your club has had a special occasion, an interesting function, a special presentation, reached a milestone or is just having fun enjoying B&B – please let us know! Photos of course are always welcome.

 Also it is an opportunity to recognise those members awarded a Life Membership more widley in B&B for their contribution.
